DHD ultra surrenders before Meghalaya police

Shillong, Feb 1: A Dima Halom Daogah(DHD) 'sergeant' surrendered before the Meghalaya police here yesterday.

A senior police official said here today that the militant identified as Montu Haflongbar(20) surrendered after he decided to shun the path of violence and join the national mainstream.

However, the militant did not deposit any arms or ammunition, police added.
