Rail Pravasi Sangh opposes ticket booking before 90 days
Mumbai, Jan 31 (UNI) The Mumbai Rail Pravasi Sangh today opposed the Railway Ministry's decision to increase the number of days for advance booking of tickets to 90 from the existing 60.
''The decision is against the common man's interest as a very few people can plan their travel 90 days in advance and it is difficult to adjust holidays of all the family members,'' the Sangh's release stated.
Despite, the Railway Ministry not increasing train fares, the common ''man is being looted under the 'tatkal' scheme and most of the times, the tickets are not available under the same as the travel agents book most of the tickets,'' the release added.
The Railway Ministry's decision will come into effect tomorrow.
