Kohima police nab Assam highway robbers

Kohima, Jan 31: The Kohima police has apprehended three highway robbers, all of them from Assam, who frequently looted night super buses on the National Highway 39.

A release, issued here today by the Superintendent of Police, stated that upon information of a robbery on NH 39 police arrested all the three robbers, one hailing from Karbi Anglong district, one from Nowgaon and the other from Uriamghat of Assam.

The taxi, being used by the robbers, was also seized by police. Further investigation was on to apprehend the members of the entire gang, the SP informed.
