AIAI expresses reservation on VAT hike

Mumbai, Jan 31 (UNI) The proposed move of Central Government to increase Value Added Tax floor rate from 4 per cent to 5 per cent on various commodities has not been taken well by the trading community.

All India Association of Industries (AIAI) has sent a memorandum today to the Chairman of Empowered Committee of State Finance Minister Dr Aseem Das Gupta, registering its reservations on the hike.
