India, Philippines to sign MoU in health and medicine sector

New Delhi, Jan 30 : The Union Cabinet today gave its ex-post facto approval for signing of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the field of health and medicine between the Indian and the Philippines Governments.

This bilateral MoU would facilitate cooperation between India and Philippines in the field of health and medicine on the basis of equality, reciprocity and mutual benefit.

The MoU inter alia envisages collaboration between the two countries in the areas of drugs and pharmaceutical products, medical consumable products, medical Education, medical Equipment, public health, communicable disease control and surveillance, hospital management, health tourism, and traditional and alternative medicine.
