Hooda pays tribute to Mahatma on 60th death anniversary
Chandigarh, Jan 30 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda today paid homage to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on the 60th anniversary of his martyrdom.
While paying rich tributes to the Mahatma at a state-level ceremony, the Chief Minister said, ''We should follow the doctrine of Mahatama and spend our life observing Ahimsa (non violence), social harmony and brotherhood in our daily life''.
Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee President and MLA Phool Chand Mulana, who was also present on the occasion, said, ''The Mahatma is in true sense a guiding figure for the country''.
He further said that Mahatma was a true international figure and his doctrine of Ahimsa has been adopted by the UN, which has declared his birthday as International Day of Ahimsa.
