Himachal to hold seminars to promote product sales
Shimla, Jan 30 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today said that the state Government would organise a series of seminars and meetings in collaboration with Ministry of Commerce to promote the export of goods and services from the State.
The Chief Minister revealed the prospects to a high-level delegation of Federation of Indian Export Organisations, New Delhi.
Mr Dhumal said that the first seminar would be organised at Parwanoo in Solan district for the industrialists of Solan district shortly and its dates will be announced soon.
"Government would lay more emphasis on export promotion due to its inherent benefits like employment generation, capacity building, economic development and quality enhancement," he added.
The Chief Minister appreciated the idea of organising buyer seller meet in Shimla.
" In Shimla Meet commpanies could display their products to NRI's,foreign buyers, Indian merchant exporters and buying houses so as to have better chances of marketing of Himachali products in national and international markets," he said Mr. Dhumal favoured exhibitions of Himachali products in different parts of developed countries to promote products.
