Airtel Q3 net up 36 pc to Rs 1,419 crores

New Delhi, Jan 30: Country's leading mobile service provider, Bharti Airtel Bharti Airtel Ltd, today said its net profit increased 36 per cent to Rs 1,419.84 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 1,043.69 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Its total revenue has increased 41.46 per cent to Rs 6,682.57 crore in the third quarter ended December 31, 2007 from Rs 4,723.68 crore in the same quarter last year. On the consolidated front the group's net profit is at Rs 1,428.56 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 1,033.34 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Its total income has increased to Rs 7,017.95 crore for the third quarter of FY08 from Rs 4,928.18 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
