Dena Bank to set up points of sale centres

Ahmednagar, Jan 28 (UNI) Dena Bank today announced that it will set up, 'Point of Sale' centres at Amravati and Akola in Maharashtra and Banaskantha district of Gujarat.

Speaking to reporters at Shirdi, near here, Dena Bank president T L Gairola said under the scheme, farmers in these districts will be given smart cards and loans of upto Rs one lakh will be readily made available to them.

The scheme has been started on an experimental basis in these districts, which do not have Dena Bank branches, and will be implemented in the entire country if it succeeds, he added.
