Cold wave prevails in parts of K'taka

Bangalore, Jan 28: Following is the summary of observations recorded at weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over South Interior Karnataka and dry weather prevailed over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Cold wave conditions has prevailed over few parts of North Interior Karnataka.

Minimum temperatures rose at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka. and North Interior Karnataka. They were appreciably below normal at most places being markedly so at a few places over North Interior Karnataka, below normal at most places being appreciably so at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and appreciably below normal at a few places over South Interior Karnataka.

Bijapur recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 8.4 degree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Wednesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka and mainly dry weather may prevail over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at isolated places over Bangalore Rural, Bangalore Urban, Chamarajnagara, Kodagu, Kolar, Mysore districts and mainly dry weather may prevail over remaining districts if South Interior Karnataka and over all districts of Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Forecast for Bangalore city: Generally cloudy. Light rain likely in some areas. Minimum temperature would be around 19 degree celsius.
