TRAI extends deadline for telephone directory
New Delhi, Jan 27 (UNI) Keeping in view the stakeholders' requests, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) extended the last date, for sending comments on the publication of the telephone directory, till February 1.
The telecom regulator had issued a consultation paper on terms and conditions for the publication of integrated telephone directory for fixed line phones and national integrated directory enquiry service for fixed and mobile connections on December 24, last year.
Because of the importance of the issue and the need for wider participation of stakeholders in the consultation process, TRAI said in a statement that it has decided to extend the date by one week.
