Washington, Jan 27 : Late actor Heath Ledger will receive a public memorial service in Los Angeles before a private funeral in his native Australia, according to reports.
Australia's Foreign Minister Stephen Smith hasn't revealed any further details about the service, but speaking at a visit to the United Nations, he said that a family memorial had already taken place in New York, where the actor was found dead earlier this week.
Smith said that a public memorial was expected in the coming days in Los Angeles, reports Contactmusic.
He told reporters that Ledger's body would be flown to Perth, where he would be laid to rest after a private family funeral.
The actor's body was discovered at his luxury apartment in New York on Jan 22.
The cause of Ledger's untimely death is still inconclusive, with a more detailed autopsy report expected late next week.
