K'taka: Farmers to go on indefenite fast from Feb 2

Vijayawada, Jan 27: The Vuyyur Congress Legislator K P Saradhi today warned that the farmers will go to indefinite fast from February two if the K C P Sugar Factory would fail to accept the demands put forward by sugarcane growing farmers, immediately.

Talking to reporters here he said on December 10 the all parties leaders and farmers association met the K C P factory's management and submitted a memorandum urging Rs 1,200 minimum support price for sugarcane and other demands, but the managements showed inflexible attitude to the demands. He alleged that the management of the factory even challenged the G O on State Advisory Price, issued by State Government, in High Court, which had given judgement against the G O.
