20 cows die after consuming stale 'puris'

Mandsaur, MP, Jan 27 (UNI) Twenty cows have died and 18 others taken ill after consuming stale food at Handia wala Bagh cow stable at Sitamau block in this district, police said today.

Stale 'puris' had been sent to the stable from Kheda village following completion of a 'yagya'.

On receiving information about the incident, the administrative officials reached the spot.

The bodies of dead cows had been sent for necropsy. The ill cows were being treated.

The district administration has been ordered to inquire into the incident.
