J-K children take a break from the sound of guns

New Delhi, Jan 26 : The national capital is playing host to a group of children from Jammu and Kashmir, who attended the Republic Day celebrations.

The students of high secondary school in the Rajouri sector have been on a tour as part of an army programme.

"We wanted to give them exposure of the outside world. The aim of the tour organised by Indian Army as a part of their 'Sadbhavna' programme is to enhance the level of the education among them," said Walim Ahmed, physical education teacher of the group of students who accompanied them.

The students said they were delighted with the opportunity given to them.

Under a programme named 'Sadbhavna' (Goddwill), the Indian army has also built schools and bus stations in Jammu and Kashmir.
