Indo-Tibet Police awarded Prez Police Medal

New Delhi, Jan 26: In recognition of their outstanding and exemplary service, ten officials of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police have been awarded President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service and Police Medal for Meritorious Service by the President of India on the occasion of Republic Day this year.

While the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service has been awarded to two officers, the police medal for Meritorious Service has been given to eight others. Those who received President"s Police Medal for Distinguished Service this year are P P Singh, Inspector General and Alel Singh, Assistant Commandant.

The recipients for this year's police medal for Meritorious Service are P S Dangwal, Commandant, Shyam Mahrotra, Commandant, Desh Raj Sharma, Asst Commandant (O), Shoorvir Singh, Sub-Inspector, Madan Mohan, Inspector, Ramlal, Inspector, Mohammad Ali, Head Constable and Lekhraj, Head Constable.
