Harshwardhan Patil unfurls national flag in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, Jan 26: Maharashtra Marketing Minister Harshwardhan Patil, who is also the Kolhapur district guardian minister, today unfurled the national flag on the occasion of the 59th Republic Day celebrations at the Shahu Stadium here.

Mr Patil also took the salute at a combined ceremonial parade by police, NCC cadets, home guards, fire-brigade personnel and others.

On the occasion, Mr Patil also honoured President's award winner police constable Dileep Shinde, ''Jeevan Gaurav'' awardee Sadashiv Ambee, the ''Nehru Yuva Puraskar'' winners, and others.

Kolhapur mayor Sai Kharade, Shrimant Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, political leaders, social workers, freedom fighters, top government officials, citizens and school children were present on the occasion.
