REI Agro Q3 net up 4.5% to Rs 26.45 cr
New Delhi, Jan 25 (UNI) Rice processor REI Agro Ltd (RAL) today said its net profit increased 4.5 per cent to Rs 26.45 crore for the third quarter ended December 2007, as compared to Rs 25.30 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
The company, set up 11 years ago in Haryana, has a turnover increase of 71 per cent at Rs 1,225.66 crore, against Rs 716.39 crore in the same period previous year. This includes Rs 92.44 crore from the retail segment, the company said in a statement.
It has achieved an export turnover increase of 13 per cent at Rs 150 crore, as compared to Rs 132 crore over the same period a year ago.
The Rs 1,000 crore REI Agro, the country's leading producer and exporter of basmati rice, is an integrated player and undertakes right from contract farming to procuring paddy to drying, de-husking, milling and polishing, colour sorting, grading, inspection, packing, branding, distribution and retailing.
