Modi launches schemes for tribals in Gujarat

Vyara, Jan 25: Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi today launched two schemes for tribals of the state under the 'Van Bandhu Kalyan Yojana'.
He laid a foundation stone of Adarsh Nivasi Shala worth Rs 4.22 crore in Ukai and dedicated Malangdev water supply scheme in Songadh taluka of newly formed Tapi district to the tribal people.

Addressing a public meeting to mark the occasion in Ukai, Mr Modi said the launch of these projects was Gujarat government's strong reply to those who had been saying that the provisions were not made in the state budget for 'Van Bandhu Kalyan Yojana'. He also disbursed various assistance to the beneficiaries of Tapi under the several government schemes. The Gujarat government has organised a number of programmes as part of state level Republic Day celebrations.
