KSIC to open its first Mysore Silk outlet in Kerala

price
tag
ranging

3,500
to
Rs
1.55
lakh
will
be
on
display
for
sale
at
the
first
exclusive
showroom
of
the
Karnataka
Silk
Industries
Corporation
Ltd
(KSIC)
in
Kerala
to
be
opened
here
tomorrow.

that
another
outlet
would
be
opened
at
Kochi
as
part
of
the
company's
strategy
for
direct
sale.
Stating that the company was committed to ensure quality of products, he said its profit registered a 20 per cent increase after it cancelled all dealership and started direct selling. The company's turnover for the year 2006-07 was Rs 41 crore. The new showroom at the Mascot Hotel here would have an elegant designer collection of Crepe de chine sarees, Kasuti embroidery sarees and georgettes and plain printed sarees, wedding sarees, salwar sets, tops, Ties, scarves and stoles.
''We have also introduced Wedding Collection sarees under the name of 'Threads of Gold' designed by Bangalore-based Professional Designer Ms Deepika Govind,'' he added.
He said Mysore Silk was the best crepe silk available in India today. ''The zari used in Mysore Silk is pure and has a gold content of 0.65 per cent and silver 65 per cent. The designs are a blend of tradition and modernity.''
