Call money closes lower at 6.10 pc
Mumbai, Jan 25 (UNI) Inter-bank call money rates today closed modestly softer at 6.00/6.10 per cent.
Traders said the all india token bank strike today partially affected trade as there was lesser business volume.
Reserve bank of India released reverse repo and repo rates at around Rs 11,000 crore each with interest rate of six per cent for total nine bids.
The call money rates resumed lower at 07.50-07.75 per cent.
Later, it fluctuated in a narrow range between 6.10 and 7.75 per cent during the mid-morning session.
Operators were squaring up their outstanding positions because of surplus funds in the domestic market. However, activity was restricted with cautious dealing, brokers added.
