President condoles Usha Narayanan's demise

New Delhi, Jan 24 (UNI) President Pratibha Devisingh Patil mourned the death of Usha Narayanan, wife of former President late K R Narayanan, who passed away here this evening following a prolonged illness.

In her condolence message, Ms Patil said, ''Usha Narayanan will be remembered for her work for the welfare of the weaker sections of society, particularly women and children.'' Usha Narayanan was admitted to the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital here on December 31 last year.
