Srinagar, Jan 24 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir government has sanctioned ex-gratia relief to 13 militancy victim-family in south Kashmir district of Shopian, official sources said today.
They said District Screening Committee, Shopian, which met here under the District Magistrate, Mohammad Ramzan Thakur took up a number of militancy related relief cases.
Later, the committee sanctioned an ex-gratia relief of Rs 7.40 lakh in favour of 13 militancy related cases.
Sources said out of which Rs 6 lakhs have been sanctioned to the next of kins of persons killed in militancy incidents.
However, Rs 25,000 to five injured people while Rs 1.5 lakh for two property damage cases were also sanctioned, they added.
