Chandigarh, Jan 24 (UNI) Punjab and Haryana High Court today directed the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) to provide the court, within three days, the entire record pertaining to the selection made in 2001 for the HCS executive branch and allied services.

The order was issued by a Division Bench of Chief Justice Vijender Jain and K S Ahluwalia during the resumed hearing on the writ petition filed by former Haryana Minister Karan Singh Dalal, MLA and two others praying for a CBI probe into the alleged irregularities and manipulations in the selection.

The report of inspection of records pertaining to a sample of 10 selected candidates and 13 rejected candidates was presented to the court by the former Haryana Advocate General Mohan Jain, who had been authorised for this on January 14 by the bench.

The three-day-long inspection of the records had revealed a number of instances of irregularities, following which the bench has ordered entire selection record's production in the court.

The sample of selected candidates included the close relatives of the then Chief Minister O P Chautala, the then chairman of HPSC Dr K C Bangar, the then DGP M S Malik and then political advisor to Mr Chautala Sher Singh Badshami.

The case would now come up for further hearing on February 12.
