Arunachal: Elaborate security for R-Day

government
has
beefed
up
the
security
arrangements
in
the
state
following
a
call
given
by
four
insurgent
groups
of
Northeast
region
to
boycott
the
Republic
Day
celebrations.
Police officials said here today that all the entry points to the state were under constant vigil, besides checking of inner line permits and vigorous frisking of vehicles.
The police and paramilitary forces were patrolling round the clock in the capital town and its adjoining areas .
Special security measures have been taken within and outside the Indira Gandhi Park here, where Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu would unfurl the tricolour on January 26.
Meanwhile, all preparations for the celebration of the 58th Republic Day have been completed along with full dress rehearsal of parade by various contingents, sources added.
