Construction Ind could avail imported cement at Rs 160 per bag
Chennai, Jan 24 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu government today announced that builders, contractors and those engaged in construction industry could avail imported cement at the rate of Rs 160 per bag from Chennai and Tuticorin ports.
An official release here said the Tamil Nadu Cement Corporation (TANCEM) has made arrangements for import of OBC 43 grade cement and sell them at Rs 160 per bag on high seas.
Those engaged in construction industry could book for purchase of a minimum of a 24 tonne container, having 480 bags of cement, the release said.
The buyers should bear charges relating to handling, transport and quality assessment and those who wished to purchase the imported cement could register their names with General Manager (Sales) TANCEM, the release added.
