BJP meet to finalise Advani's travel plans

New Delhi, Jan 24 (UNI) Days after endorsing Leader of Opposition L K Advani as its Prime Ministerial candidate, the BJP Executive is likely to finalise his travel plans across the country, BJP President Rajnath Singh hinted today.

In his informal interaction with reporters ahead of Executive meet on January 27, Mr Singh spoke about Mr Advani's travel plans across the country, which is yet to be finalised. He is likely to visit the state capitals by aircraft and undertake the tour by road, sources said.

Although in party circles, Mr Advani's Rath Yatra is being talked about, it could not be formally discussed until he was declared as the PM candidate both by the BJP and the NDA parties. Mr Advani has undertaken several rath yatras starting from Ram Rath Yatra in the late 80s, Swarna Jayanti Yatra, Bharat Uday Yatra, Bharat Suraksha Yatra in his various capacities as BJP leader.

The other issues that is likely to figure before the Executive meet, included poll preparedness reporting from the states facing elections, booth level committees. The two-day National Council meeting at Ramlila Grounds will pass two resolutions - political and one concerning agriculture.
