Pakistan's Gwadar Port worries Indian
Chennai, 23rd Jan 2008 : The development on the Gwadar deep-sea port built in Pakistan with Chinese assistance worries India as New Delhi feels that the port would have serious strategic implications for the country.
Indian naval chief Admiral Sureesh Mehta, delivering a memorial lecture on T.S. Narayanswamy in Chennai, said that the Gwadar port would empower Pakistan to control strategically important energy sea-lane on the Persian Gulf.
