'More pvt airlines from Karipur in 3 months'

Kozhikode, Jan 23: The Centre will introduce more private airlines from Karipur International airport in three months, Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahmmed said today.

Flagging off the Jet Airlines daily direct flight to Muscut, first such venture to the Middle East from Malabar region by a private airliner, he said this would ease the travel woes of passengers in the region.

The flight, which took off at 0930 hrs would reach Muscut airport at 1135 hrs and in its return leg, the flight, scheduled to take off Muscut airport at 1430 hrs would arrive here at 2000 hrs.

The Jet Airlines is also scheduled to launch another daily direct flight to Doha from here today.

The flight, which will depart at 2000 hrs will reach Doha airport at 2200 hrs and in its return journey the flight, scheduled to depart Doha at 1000 hrs would reach here at 1655 hrs.
