Hyderabad, Jan 23 (UNI) A police inquiry into the alleged land dispute, involving the son of Andhra Pradesh Home Minister K Jana Reddy, revealed that the plot under question belonged to the minister.

In a release here, West Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) said ''the open plot identified as 290/A of Venkateshwera Cooperative Housing Society belong to Home Minister K Jana Reddy.'' An enquiry was conducted, following a dispute between the Minister's son Raghu and realtor Shivaramakrishna on January 21.

The DCP said the land, originally allotted to Katragadda Srinivasa Varadaraju in 1983, was later transferred to one Dasaiah in 2000.

The plot was finally purchased by a registered sale deed by the Home Minister, from one Paidimarri Suresh and Paidimarri Ranganath on April 30, 2005.

He said, on January 21 morning, Koteshwer Rao and two others forcibly trespassed into the vacant site, located in MLAs Colony.

Despite objections, Mr Rao started works on the plot.

Following this, Raghu reached the spot and questioned them.

Mr Rao later registered a complaint with the police, siting ownership of the land.
