Congress ready for assembly polls in Rajasthan: Gehlot
Jaipur, Jan 23: AICC General Secretary and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has expressed his party's preparedness for the assembly election and claimed that a pro-Congress political scenario was prevailing in the state.
Talking to reporters here today, Mr Gehlot said, ''people are much annoyed with Vasundhara Raje Government for ''encouraging corruption, mishandling water supply issue and subsequent farmers' agitation and failure in maitaining law and order situation''.
Mr Gehlot said which ever place he had visited, he noticed people's displeasure for the government, paricularly for the Chief Minister, who had been ''working in dictatoral manner without bothering for people's feeling and interests''.
He said the people were eager to teach the Chief Minister and her party a lesson in the next assembly.
''Poeple are so annoyed with the Chief Minister and the BJP that even popular means being undertaken by MS Raje to lure the voters will fail to mislead them'', the former Chief Minsiter added.
Mr Gehlot who has been touring various parts of the state for sometime now, returned toJaipur after visiting Ganganagar and some adjoining areas.
