Vodafone to invest 6 bn dollars in India

New Delhi, Jan 22, 2008 : According to reports leading private GSM operator Vodafone-Essar has announced an investment of 6 billion dollars or Rs 24,000 crore in the next three years.

The CEO of Vodafone Arun Sarin has said that they would be investing 2 billion dollars annually for the next three years. He also announced a target of reaching a 100 million-subscriber base from the current level of 40 million.
