Rajasthan: Lacquer bangles industry booming

Jaipur, Rajasthan, Jan 21st 2008: The colorful mirrored bangles that Hindu women wear after marriage also tell the story of communal amity in India's desert state of Rajasthan.

Bangle makers have nurtured the art since times immemorial and more than 2,000 Muslim families in Jaipur and Ajmer are engaged in giving shapes and shine to these pretty ornaments.
