SBI to function as Lead Bank for Ariyalur Dist

Ariyalur (Tamil Nadu), Jan 22: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has authorised State Bank of India (SBI) as the lead bank for the newly-formed Ariyalur district.

District Collector V M Xavier Chrisso Nayagam, in a statement here yesterday said a communication from RBI said that SBI would function as the lead bank with effect from January 15. Ariyalur district was carved out of Perambalur district in November last year. The Indian Overseas Bank was the lead bank for the composite Perambalur district.
