SAARC united to fight terrorism in the region : Dorji
Gaya, Jan 22 (UNI) South Asian Association for the Regional Cooperation(SAARC) General Secretary Lyompo Chenkyab Dorji today said all the membering countries wre united to fight the menace of terrorism and promotion of tourism in the region.
Speaking to the media persons here at Bodh Gaya, Mr Dorji said the SAARC nations were working on a plan to jointly fight terrorism.
He maintained that all the membering countries had achieved remarkable feats in their social, economic, educationnal and cultural lives in the recent past and working in their best capacity for yielding better result in different spheres of life.
Mr Dorji appreciated the developmental works in the Buddhist circuit in the past 20 years and said the pace of progress in the villages had also accelerated manifold.
Mr Dorji was on the four-day trip of Buddhist circuit and would visit different Buddhist destinations in the state.
