Retirement age of RIMS teachers raised to 62
Ranchi, Jan 22 (UNI) The Jharkhand government today raised the retirement age of teachers of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences to 62.
Earlier, the retirement age was 60 and raising of the age bar was a long pending demand of the teaching faculty working at the medical institute.
The decision was taken in the Cabinet meeting held at the state Secretariat here.
Apart from this, the state government also gave its formal nod to create 1156 posts of assistant sub-inspectors, state cabinet secretary N N Pandey said.
The government also approved to create 159 posts mainly for engineers and other officers in irrigation department, Mr Pandey added.
