Nicholas Piramal buys Healthline's pharma business
New Delhi, Jan 22 (UNI) Drugmaker Nicholas Piramal India Ltd (NPIL) today said it has acquired Healthline Pvt Ltd's (HLPL) pharmaceutical business for Rs 15 crore and plans investment for its capacity expansion.
HLPL has a modern injectables manufacturing unit at Bangalore for small and large volume injectable products, company said in a statement.
''The company will invest additional resources at the facility to expand capacity and secure USFDA standards,'' it added.
The current facility, which was commissioned in 2004, has a capacity of 10 million vials per annum on a single shift basis.
