Kerala Govt files petiton to attach properties of IG
Kochi, Jan 22 (UNI) Kerala Government today filed a petition before the High Court to attach the properties of Inspector General Tomin J Thachankery.
The State filed the petition after the Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court closed a petition to attach a portion of the property worth Rs 95 lakh, which was disproportionate to his known source of income.
The State filed an appeal against the order alleging that the procedure adopted by the lower court judge was illegal, arbitrary and against the principles laid down by the apex court.
The Vigilance was investigating into the disproportionate asset case against Mr Thachankery.
