Brody and Wright sign on for 'Cadillac Records'
Washington, Jan 22 : Adrien Brody and Jeffrey Wright have signed on to play a pair of major music-biz figures in 'Cadillac Records'.
Darnell Martin will direct the Sony BMG Film's pic from a script that he also penned.
Brody will play famed blues/R and B record exec Leonard Chess, and Wright will be Muddy Waters in the film.
Appearing in the movie alongside them will be Columbus Short, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Cedric the Entertainer and Tammy Blanchard, reports Variety.
Set in the Chicago in the 1950s, 'Cadillac Records' charts the colourful lives of American musical legends like Waters, Chess, Little Walter, Howlin' Wolf and Elvis Presley.
Shooting for the movie is scheduled to start in New Jersey and Mississippi in March.
Established in 2005, Sony BMG Film develops, finances and produces music-related theatrical films.
