British Airways flight cancelled due to technical snag

Chennai, Jan 22: A London-bound British Airways flight was cancelled after it developed a technical snag, minutes before take off from the Anna international airport here, this morning.

Airport sources said all the 282 passengers had cleared security and immigration checks and were ready to board the aircraft when the snag came to light. The pilot immediately cancelled the flight.

While 40 passengers were sent to London via Mumbai, the rest were accommodated in city hotels. The flight would depart tomorrow morning, it was announced.
