WB all party delegation critises Ganguly's exclusion from ODIs
New Delhi, Jan 21 (UNI) A twenty seven member high power delegation of the West Bengal State Legislative Assembly today tried to meet Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar to lodge their protest against the unceremonious exclusion of former India Cricket Captain Saurav Ganguly from the forthcoming Trianglar One Day International series to be played in Australia later this month.
Addressing the media, Congress Legislative Party (CLP) Chief Dr Manas Bhuiya said, ''It is a very wrong decision and we all protest against this injustice.'' The same sentiment was expressed by the Urban Development Minister Ashok Bhattacharjee and others.
The delegation members however made it clear that it was not part of the delegation's official agenda to meet Mr Sharad Pawar who is also the President of the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) to lodge their protest on this issue. They are raising this issue as individuals, the delegation memebrs added.
