The Pretty Woman used to stutter as a kid

New York, Jan 21 : Hollywood actress Julia Roberts and her brother Eric used to stutter as kids.

American charity Stuttering Foundation of America (SFA) revealed in their recent newsletter that the siblings suffered from the speech affliction as kids.

"The Roberts siblings stuttered as children and ironically give credence to the factor of the heredity/genetic link in the stuttering equation. [They have] no doubt inspired young people with the problem," wrote the newsletter.

The charity is now planning to sign them as their national spokespersons.

SFA rep Jane Fraser said that the Oscar winner had expressed an interest in helping few years back and Eric also agreed to be interviewed.

"It would be marvellous to have them participate," New York Post quoted Fraser as saying.
