Nasik bus accident toll rises to 39
Nashik, Jan 21 (UNI) The toll in the bus accident last night at Saptashring Garh near Vani town in Dindori taluka of the district has gone up to 39.
Thirtysix people who were seriously injured have been shifted to Nashik district Civil Hospital from Vani and Kalwan Rural Hospitals.
According to sources, a private luxury bus was on its way back after visiting the Goddess Saptashringi shrine situated at Saptashring Garh near Vani town in Dindori taluka of the district.
The driver of the bus lost control and fell into a 450-500 ft gorge.
The bus, belonging to Lucky Travels in Worli, Mumbai, was on tour of the district. It left Mumbai on Friday and after visiting the Sai Baba temple at Shirdi, Shanishignapur, reached Vani yesterday.
There were two buses of the same travel company on the tour.
Local people and passengers of the other bus helped in the rescue operations.
Identification of the dead was on till reports last came in.
