Narco analysis report filed in Sr Abhaya case

Kochi, Jan 21 (UNI) A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) special team today filed the narco analysis report before a lower court in the Sister Abhaya case.

The report was filed before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court in Ernakulam and a copy was handed over to the High Court, which had earlier directed the CBI to file the report.

The CBI had conducted narco analysis test on Fr Jose Putrike, Fr Thomas Kottur and Sister Sephy.

Sister Abhaya, daughter of M Thomas in Areekara in Kottayam district, was a second year pre-degree student in BCM College at Kottayam in 1992, and was a resident of St Pius Xth Convent, which is situated within the city limits.

On March 27, 1992, in the wee hours of the day, she was found dead in the well of the convent.

The CBI started investigating the unnatural death of Sister Abhaya on March 29, 1993.
