Man beaten to death by brother
Chennai, Jan 21 (UNI) In an act of fratricide, a newly-wed man was beaten to death by his elder brother over property dispute at Ashok Nagar area near here.
Police said the deceased Thangaraj, a painter, was married three months ago and was living with his brother Govindaraj, a car driver.
When Govindaraj insisted his younger brother to move out of his house, where the couple were living, he refused and wanted to stay together.
A wordy duel ensued and in a fit of rage, Govindaraj pushed Thangaraj down. Thangaraj suffered head injuries and died at the Government Hospital yesterday.
Police arrested Govindaraj on charges of murder.
