Gulbarga, Jan 21 (UNI) Janata Dal (Secular) president H D Deve Gowda today reiterated that his party was not responsible for the series of political developments in Karnataka which led to the fall of the B S Yediyurappa-led BJP-JD(S) coalition Government.

Addressing a press conference here, he accused the BJP of having humiliated JD(S) leaders, especially former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, during the JD(S)-BJP coalition's 20-month rule and questioned the BJP leaders' behaviour.

''A Minister in the then Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy Cabinet made an unprecedented allegation that the Chief Minister was consipiring to murder him. Had the Minister made such an allegation without the knowledge of the BJP high command,'' he asked.

The former prime minister disclosed that he would pen a book to expose some political leaders.

Dismissing reports that after the exit of some key leaders led by former Home Minister M P Prakash, the JD(S) had become weak and insignificant, he claimed that the JD(S) was still in a commanding position in the State.

Mr Gowda informed that the vaccuum created by the quitting of Mr Prakash and others would be filled after consulting senior party leaders.

He said the JD(S) would not allow the BJP's ''evil designs'' of turning the State into another Gujarat.

Lauding his son Kumaraswamy for his ''flawless administration'' for 20 months, he said he had adopted a humane approach in serving the people.
