India needs to take rightful place in world: Brown
New Delhi, Jan 21 (UNI) British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has stated that India needs to take its rightful place in the world, including the membership of the United Nations Security Council.
''India needs to take her rightful place in the world and that would include the membership of the Security Council under a wide reform of the UNSC that needs to take place,'' he said in an interview with Times Now, excerpts of which were released by the channel in a press release.
''I also support the Indian representation being strengthened in those great international institutions where all we have to play our part for the future,'' Mr Brown said.
