Former MP and JD(U) leader passes away

Patna, Jan 21 (UNI) Senior JD(U) leader and former MP Jaykrishan Mandal died after a cardiac arrest in Purnia district this morning.

He was 60.

Mr Mandal suffered a heart attack and was rushed to the local hospital, where he breathed his last.

The mortal remains of Mandal would be consigned to flames at his native village Brahmgyani.

Senior Congress leader and member of the national railway advisory board V K Thakur expressed sorrow over the sudden demise of the leader and said that Mandal was a great leader who strived for the welfare of the oppressed section of the society.
