Director and Assistant arrested for taking bribe

Bangalore, Jan 21 (UNI) Deputy Director of Public instructions and a First Division Assistant of Pre University, education were caught redhanded by the Lokayukta police of Chitradurga for accepting a bribe for showing official favour.

According to a Lokayukta press release, G H Kattiimani DDPI, and Prakash, FDA, had demanded Rs 4,500 and Rs 1,500 respectively from K Nagaraj, a college lecturer of Government P U College Holalkere taluk of Chitradurga for settling the November salary.

The salary ws held up by AGOs.
