Dera chief changes counsel, case deferred till Feb 2
Ambala, Jan 21 (UNI) A special CBI Judge today deferred to February 2 the framing of charges against Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim in murder and rape cases.
The Dera chief was personally present here in the court of judge R K Saini, who adjourned the case to next date on the request of the Dera chief's new counsel Surya Prakash.
Mr Prakash had sought time to study the case since he was engaged in place of the previous lawyer S K Garg.
The Dera chief thereafter, addressed a large number of his followers at the HUDA Colony here before leaving for his Sirsa Dera amid tight security as he was under threat from militants.
